Son muy frecuentes en la edad adulta, predominan en mujeres y permanecen de por vida.
DOS TIPOS:
A) Blandos:
- Fibromas filiformes: Pequeñas lesiones de algunos milimetros de diámetro que se localizan principalmente en cuello y axilas. Del color de la piel y siempre son múltiples.
- Fibroma péndulo o acrocordon. Lesiones de características similares a los acrocordones. A diferencia de estos, los fibromas péndulos alcanzan a medir hasta 5 cm y son Lesiones Únicas.
B) Duros:
- Dermatofibroma o Histiocitoma. Neoformación de color amarillento, localizada predominantemente en tórax y extremidades inferiores.
Mide alrededor de 1 a 2 cm de diámetro, presenta una consistencia dura y sobresale un poco de la superficie de la piel. - Fibroqueratoma digital adquirido. Tumor de aproximadamente 1 cm que presenta una forma cónica y se localiza, como su nombre lo indica en dedos. Su color es rosado o similar al de la piel.
